Myko 9, West Coast Hip Hop / Conscious Hip Hop / Jazz Rap artist, born Michael Lafayette Troy on 16 January 1969 in Los Angeles, California. The song "1969" (Fake Four Inc. # FFINC006) referenced many political issues and events of the 60s/70s. including Civil Rights, the counter-culture, and two well-known Vietnam evens: (a) the Kent State shooting - which took place on 4 May 1970, in Ohio, where members of the Ohio State Guard shot and killed four students, and (b) demonstrations outside the Democratic National Convention in Chicago in August 1968: "the peace movement took Chicago late and they took four dead in Ohio".
