Annotation

Gothic Metal group, formed in 1995 in Rödermark, Hessen, Germany. It members were: Dirk Riegert [aka Rig] (vocals), and Tobias Hahn [aka Toby] (programming, piano). Note: this group is different from the more well-known progressive rock group Janus, also based in Germany, but from the UK, who also released a Vietnam War song ("Napalm Sticks to Kids"). The song "Kadaverstern" (Trisol Music Group # TRI 255 CD) referenced the My Lai massacre while recalling "Treblinka", a Nazi extermination camp: "Treblinka is daily for me, Soweto and My Lai... the war is never over". As noted elsewhere, the My Lai Massacre was the mass murder of between 300-500 civilians in the South Vietnamese area known as "Pinkville", containing the hamlets, known as My Lai 4 and My Khe 4, and throughout the area of Song My, by US forces on 16 March 1968.
