Annotation
Texan soul singer / producer Bobby Patterson also released a Jody themed track, "Right on Jody" (Paula Records # 352). In this one the narrator has been doing a lot of overtime at work, as requested by his foreman, and so he starts to get suspicious that "Jody's been sleeping in my back door", and that it might be the case that "the foreman is Jody". The narrator then sends out a warning to everybody, that Jody is "in your town...on your street", and that it might be your neighbour or friend. The song concluded with a warning to the soldiers in South-East Asia: "you fellows over in Vietnam - watch out for Jody". Bobby Patterson produced many R&B singers, such as Chuck Jackson, Ted Taylor, and Roscoe Robinson.
