Impetigo, a Grindcore / Death Metal band from Bloomington, Illinois, released this live demo cassette in 1987, which included the Vietnam War song "My Lai", about the My Lai Massacre - the mass murder of between 300-500 civilians in the South Vietnamese area known as "Pinkville", containing the hamlets, known as My Lai 4 and My Khe 4, and throughout the area of Song My, by US forces on 16 March 1968. It featured as a bonus track on the 1990 album "Ultimo mondo cannibale" (Wild Rags Records # WRR-020). This EP was reissued on CD in 1999 (Bizarre Leprous Production # BLP 019). The band featured Stevo Dobbins (vocals, bass), Mark Sawickis (guitar), Scott Bross (guitar), Dan Malin (drums). The lyrics leaned towards protesting the actions of Calley, who had killed "some reds...like your daddy said" - thus placing it within the context of the Cold War and the 1950s/60s fear of communism.

Impetigo were an American death metal, goregrind and grindcore band formed in 1987 in Bloomington, Illinois, whose line-up comprised Stevo Dobbins (bass and vocals), Mark Sawickis (guitar), Dan Malin (drums) and Scotty Bross (guitar); they were active until 1993 and reunited for a single show in 2007. "My Lai" is the closing track of their debut album 'Ultimo Mondo Cannibale', issued on Wild Rags Records WRR-020 in 1990; Discogs records that it was one of two tracks omitted from the contemporaneous cassette pressing.
