Singer/songwriter, born 18 October 1947, Bronx, New York, USA, died 8 April 1997, Danbury, Connecticut, USA, released this Christmas-themed album, which included the song "Christmas in My Soul" (Columbia Records # KC 30259), an anti-Vietnam war song. It expressed patriotism, while criticising the war: "I love my country as it dies, in war". It contained the line "Black Panther brothers bound in jail...Chicago Seven and the justice scale" - clearly both a reference to those arrested in Chicago at the 1968 Democratic National Convention, and the Black Panther Bobby Seale, gagged and chained at the original trial of the Chicago Eight, and so a Civil Rights message.
