About the artist
Jim Walktendonk is a Vietnam War veteran who served as a dog handler and turned to music after returning home, performing on Vietnam veteran recognition programmes for PBS and HBO. When Agent Orange exposure limited his guitar playing in the 1990s he took up painting, and his work was exhibited at the Wisconsin Veterans Museum. [Wisconsin Veterans Museum]
