Annotation — 1968 Chicago Seven / Eight Songs
The record "Mister Wallace Please Wait for Me!" (R.R.I. – Riot No. 4) was a racist comedy sketch, impersonating African-Americans, centred around the Democratic National Convention, held in Chicago. Van Q. Temple was a radio DJ, based in Pensacola, Florida. The character he played, Iula Humps, featured on the front cover in stereo-typical, racist form, was in the role of the "cleaning lady" at the radio station. "Mister Wallace" was of course a reference to the Alabama Governor George Wallace. The back of the record said: .Even the Democrats confess, the 1968 Convention in Chicago was nothing less than shear pandemonium. Millions of TV viewers could hardly believe their eyes as they viewed the spectacle of all spectacles. The content of this hilarious album attempts to capture some of the classic moments of the greatest show on earth
