Released 1 August 1974. Based on Katsumoto Saotome's children's book ベトナムのダーちゃん (Da-chan of Vietnam). Addressed to a Vietnamese war-orphan girl: barefoot and alone, dreaming of her homeland's blue sky; her mother 'became a star'; urged to endure poverty and walk on until she can return home, where the girls will one day make flowers bloom on the ravaged land. Lyrics 岩谷時子 (Tokiko Iwatani), arr. 青木望 (Nozomu Aoki). B-side 鐘を鳴らすのはだれ (same writers) - Vietnam relevance unverified, no entry yet.
About the artist
