Jay-Z, born Shawn Corey Carter on 4 December 1969 in Brooklyn, New York, USA, one of the most successful and well-known Hip Hop / Gangsta Rap artists. He featured on a few tracks referencing the Vietnam War: "Get By" (2003) by Kanye West (with Mos Def, JAY-Z, Talib Kweli, and Busta Rhymes), "Power" (2010), also by Kanye West (with JAY-Z and Swizz Beatz), and "Blue’s Freestyle/We Family" (2017) (featuring his daughter Blue Ivy Carter). The song "Blue’s Freestyle/We Family" (Roc Nation # B0027184-02), with his daughter Blue Ivy Carter, contained a Civil Rights message, noting the draft resistance of Muhammad Ali, who had asked why he should fight brown people in Vietnam when black people did not receive equal rights at home: "I feel like Ali, Viet Cong never done shit to me".
