The song "Talk to Me" (Williams Street) was a contemporary protest song about racism, which noted push-back against the Black Lives Matter movement, which sought to highlight racism, discrimination, and racial inequality against black people (2013-present): "my job is to fight for survival in spite of these #AllLivesMatter-ass white folk", and that "brave men didn't die face down in the Vietnam muck so I could not style on you".
