Annotation
Punk Rock group formed in 1984 in West Covina, California, USA. They released the song "Vietnam" (Triple X Records # 51045-1), narrated from the perspective of the son of a Vietnam veteran, "from the jungle...he was sixteen". The veteran turned his gun on his family: "daddy please, don't point that gun at me, I'm not the enemy, this ain't Vietnam" - and thus another portrayal of a veteran who suffered from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) - frequently referenced in post-war 1980s songs about US veterans, often connected in songs to stress, shell shock, flashbacks, nostalgia, and feelings and dreams related to an event. This group also covered the Ramones' Vietnam War song "Commando" on the 1991 compilation Gabba Gabba Hey: A Tribute to the Ramones.
