Annotation
Death Metal group formed in 2012, its members included Anders Biazzi (guitar, bass), Brynjar Helgetun (drums), and Jonny Pettersson (guitar, vocals). The group is based in Stockholm, Sweden. (1). They released this Vietnam-themed EP, with six relevant tracks (Into It Records # IIR 067). The opening song, "Kill Zone 2", focussed on the killing: "six feet under, where the Cong belongs... here in the kill zone". The track "Mac V Sog" dealt with the P.O.W. issue, describing a rescue attempt, similar to many Vietnam War films in the 80s: "Yankee dying breed, prisoners of Viet Cong, desperate to be freed". The song "Tunnel Rats" focused on a task performed by US soldiers, and its allies, whereby they performed underground search and destroy missions, entering into North Vietnamese or Viet Cong tunnel complexes. The narrator described the locations: "beneath jungle soil...complex underground network". The US soldiers entered and faced attack: "sneak attack, foxhole, slit throat". It commented on the VC: "determined Vietcong, no fear of death".
