Thrash Metal group, formed in 1985 in Preston, Lancashire, UK, with a revolving line-up, released the song "Ghost Tape Number 10" (Listenable Records # POSH654), probably a reference to "Operation Wondering Soul", a propaganda campaign employed by the US during the Vietnam War - in which the US played a tape on the South Vietnamese loudspeaker system throughout rural areas, with voices acting the sounds of slain VC soldiers, to encourage desertions and defections, a type of psychological warfare. (1) Narrated from the perspective of the VC, a soldier noted "beware the voices taunting me... weaponised beliefs deployed as spiritual warfare".
