Mitsuko Urashima, also known as Sugata Noriko, born 16 October 1946 in Tokyo, Japan, released her debut single "ベトナム哀歌" ("Vietnamese Lament") (Teichiku Records # SN-259), an anti-war / peace song, which noted the tragedy of Vietnam's decent into war: "the nostalgic Mekong, now it's a quagmire, a muddy jungle... only the shadows of war in the North and South".
