Annotation
The garage rock song "Vietnam (Freedom for Man)" (Bobshosky Record Co. # B001), backed the government view that the US needed to protect South Vietnam and maintain its commitment to that country: "we hold our commitments, to protect freedom in Vietnam". The narrator also argued that democracy and freedom represented "the only way for you, the only way for me", which led to better eduction and technology. Pittsburgh Phil released an alternative version of this song, called "Vietnam" on the label Bob Cat - exactly the same address as Bobshosky Record Co., located in New Kensington, Pennsylvania (18 miles northeast of Pittsburgh). Written by Leonard L. Bobshosky, who registered the copyright of the song in January 1969, so these single were probably released in 1969-1970. (1)

The Discogs release note states "Vietnam" is an alternate take of a song otherwise issued on Bob Cat Records by "Pittsburgh Phil" (master row 3117), and "Total Electric" likewise has an alternate on Lunar Lab - pointing to one shared production circle around these small labels.
