About the artist
Peter Dasent is a New Zealand-born composer and pianist. He played keyboards in the New Zealand bands Spats and The Crocodiles, later led the jazz ensemble The Umbrellas, and has been based in Sydney, Australia since 1981. He is best known for scoring Peter Jackson's early films - Meet the Feebles (1989), Braindead (1992) and Heavenly Creatures (1994) - and for long-running work on the New Zealand children's series Play School.
