The song "Vietnam" (DRMN 142 F) released in Peru, was an instrumental in the Guaracha genre, with 60s psychedelic edge to it- "the original inspiration of guaracha were the Spanish 'jácaras'. Jácaras were satirical and playful (often using a vulgar language) short monologues and songs played in the entr'actes of theatrical performances during the 16th and 17th centuries. Jácaras evolved into guaracha in Cuba during the 18th century". Composed by Isaías Cotos Solís.

Los Pankis were a Peruvian tropical group of the early 1970s working in the psychedelic cumbia and guaracha idiom then flourishing in Lima.
