Murvell Johnson, another obscure blues artist, whose biography is currently unknown, in addition to no known date of recording, release, or location, who released the blues song "Viet Nam War" (probably late 60s - early 70s). The narrator repeated a similar line throughout, "I've got a dream, the Vietnam War is gonna come to an end", thus leaning towards the anti-war side, as well as maybe presenting the perspective of someone directly affected by the war, either as a soldier or related to a participant, with the personal line: "it will be so much better for the entire family".

Murvell Johnson was a soul and funk singer whose documented output is three singles on Houston-based imprints: "You Got Me" b/w "Viet Nam War" (Johnson / Houston Records 45-101, 1971), "I Want It" (Long Beach Records / Jay & Kay / Houston Records 45-102, 1971) and "Hold On This Time" b/w "Just Take Me In Your Loving Arms" (AL's Records / Crazy Cajun Music / Houston Records AL-589, 1974).
