Annotation
The song "United by the Wall" by Jonathan Edwards, a singer/songwriter, country artist, born 28 July 1946 in Aitkin, Minnesota, USA. He released some successful album in the 1970s, such as Jonathan Edwards (1971) and Honky-Tonk Stardust Cowboy (1972). He released around 20 albums. His website said: "he was of an age to be sent against his will to southeast Asia to become a soldier. He had a different idea. Songs and the need to write them". (1) (2) In the song, the narrator said that his brother faced a difficult choice when drafted: "should I fight or run". He went to war to make his father proud, but was K.I.A. His mother cried that in war "only the young ones die". The narrator is then at the Wall in D.C. to remember those that died.
