About the artist
Ram-Ram-Go-Go-Sound released "Pep-77" b/w "U.S.A. Out-Cry" on Halagala Records (HG 26, Guyana, 1967), described by collectors as a rare Guyanese jerk-style instrumental. "Pep-77" was written by Teddy Osei, the Ghanaian saxophonist who went on to found Osibisa; "U.S.A. Out-Cry" by Nel Fraser. A second catalogued release pairs "The Allstars" with "The Ram Ram Go Go Sound" on Rough Beat Records. The act appears to be a Guyanese studio or session outfit; no member is individually documented.
