American Air Force fighter pilot, 'the balladeer of the in-country air war'. F-4C Aircraft Commander with the 557th Tactical Fighter Squadron at Cam Ranh Bay, 1968; flew 204 missions including support of Khe Sanh during the Tet Offensive; wrote 'Tchepone', the most popular song of the air war.
