The song title "Sandra Allison Jeffrey and Bill" (Garlin Records # 107) referenced the four student killed at Kent State - which would seem to be one of the few songs about Kent State to actually mention the victims by name, and certainly the only song in the title - the others being "The Kent State Massacre" by Barbara Dane, "What a Good Time for a Kent State" by Freddie Hubbard & İlhan Mimaroğlu, "41,000 Plus 4" by Ruth Warrick, and "Kent" by Magpie. The song "Hey! Sandy" by Harvey Andrews referenced one of the victims, Sandra Lee Scheuer. This song recalled those four students demonstrating and then being killed. The singer wanted to know "who is to blame" for the tragedy, and what happened, so that they could learn from the mistakes and ensure it "never happen again".
