Annotation — US Domestic Perspective Songs
In the country music song "Please Santa, Take My Toys to Viet Nam" (Nashville # NV-5317) a man, presumably narrating from the perspective of a child, requested that people in the US not forget the soldiers in Vietnam, and that "while there in a giving mood, remember Vietnam". He wanted Santa to take all the toys and money, that he usually received, over to Vietnam - for the South Vietnamese, or for those in the North as well? Probably released in 1973 based on the label's numbers.
