Psychedelic rock group, formed in July 1965 in Los Angeles, California, USA, featuring Robby Krieger (guitar), John Densmore (drums), Ray Manzarek (keyboards, bass pedals, vocals), and Jim Morrison (vocals, 1965-71). The song "Peace Frog" (Elektra Records # EKS-75007) contained a potentially minor reference to Chicago 1968 with the line "blood in the street, the town of Chicago, blood on the rise, it's followin' me". Also note that the group also released the Vietnam War-related song "Universal Soldier" on their 1968 album Waiting for the Sun..
