Hal Southern (real name Hal Clark, also credited Hal Sothern) was an American country singer and songwriter, billed as 'Mr Hillbilly Heaven' after co-writing 'I Dreamed of a Hill-Billy Heaven' with Eddie Dean - a song made famous by Tex Ritter. His documented catalogue runs to eighteen releases including the LP 'Mr Hillbilly Heaven' (Country Gold 200).
