Bimbi was Maximiliano 'Bimbi' Sanchez (1908-1991), a Cuban sonero who founded the Trio Oriental in Santiago de Cuba in 1935 with Pedro Filiu and Luis Bosch, later recording prolifically in New York for Ansonia; 'Me Voy Pa Viet Nam' appears on the LP 'A Fiestar Con Lo Mejor De Bimbi' (Tropical TRLP 4631).
