Annotation
Shortly after the successful "Ballad of the Green Beret" album and single discussed above, that sold more than two million copies, Sadler released another collection of songs (RCA Victor # LSP-3605). Musically more interesting, lyrically it dealt with the same issues and took a similar political position to his first effort. In the song "Little Bird of Vietnam" Sadler sought to drum up support for the war, which he presented as being a positive and moral conflict.
