Lowell Fulson, blues guitarist, often associated with Electric Blues on the West Coast, was born on 31 March 1921 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA. He died on 6 March 1999 in Long Beach, California, USA. The song "The Letter" (Kent # K 45x486) is narrated from a soldier's perspective, writing to his sweetheart, "all I need is your best wishes". He reveals in the final line, "please try not to forget me, I'm over here in Vietnam".
