Poncho Villagomez (Alfonso Villagomez) was a Tejano/norteno conjunto bandleader, founder of Poncho Villagomez y sus Coyotes del Rio Bravo, with a discography running from Del Bravo Records (San Antonio) singles in the 1960s-70s through Alvi Music, Rio Bravo and later Cintas Acuario albums into the 2000s. "Imploracion de un padre" b/w "Yo vi llorar a Dios" (Del Bravo B-210, 1969) sits directly in his documented Discogs discography, confirming the identification.
