Mason came from Western New York. In 1976 Governor Hugh Carey selected his song "Little People" as New York State's official Bicentennial song. (1) Earlier, in 1960, he released a campaign single for Richard Nixon - We Need Nixon / National Republican Theme. Narrated from the perspective of a P.O.W.'s partner, she had the presents, decorations, and tree ready, and had friends and family around.
