Released in 1966, Johnny Mac's biography is unknown at this time - it is being assumed that he was involved with the military. It included a cover of Barry Sadler 's Ballad of the Green Berets . The track "Let the Cannons Roar Loudly" ( ( Crown Records # 5510) was narrated from the perspective a dead soldier who wanted people back home to know that he fought "with courage and pride" . He declared that "I served my country well" . "Let the cannons roar loudly over my grave / Let the folks back home know that I was brave / Though my life is gone, my spirit carries on / Let the cannons roar loudly over my grave / Let them hear what a great deed I've done / How we fought our battles one by one / With courage and pride I gave up my life... / As you speak of my name in tales you tell / Please remember I served my country well / I've lived, fought, and died, no tears have I cried"
