Annotation

Contemporary folk duo, based in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, also known as Carrl & Janie Myriad, released this anti-war single. The b-side was of course a cover of the famous Peter, Paul and Mary song "Cruel War" about the plight of a soldier and his sweetheart, which leans towards the protest camp. The title track "Life Won't Be the Same" does not mention war, but discusses the death of a man: "part of a game, life without him won't be the same" - in what could potentially be about war. It looked at the perspective of the man's sister: "why her brother isn't there to hold her hand".

Notes

A side; the death of a man, from his sister's view — the war is not named. AT 815N-5001.
