Collaboration between Angel Luis Torruellas, born 28 January 1938, in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico, and Ismael Santiago, born 6 June 1910, in Aibonita, Puerto Rico, with the release of the song "Un jibaro en Vietnam" ("A jibaro in Vietnam") (LaFlor # 180) - Jíbaro is used in Puerto Rico to refer to the countryside people.. As discussed above, it is also a genre: Jibaro - "traditionally played by the eponymous mountain-dwelling Latin American culture that live primarily in Puerto Rico". Angel Luis Torruellas said in a 1997 interview that he wanted an LP by the name "Un jibaro en Vietnam", but it was never released.
