About the artist
Pop rock band formed in Los Angeles in summer 1966: Emitt Rhodes (vocals), Gary Kato (lead guitar), Bill Rinehart (bass) and Joel Larson (drums). Rhodes wrote "Gonna Fight the War"; it was issued as a 7-inch on A&M 857 in 1967 - the plugged A-side on promo copies, the B-side of "We're In Love" on stock copies - and also appeared on their A&M album The Merry-Go-Round (SP-4132, October 1967).
