DPG, also known as Tha Dogg Pound, a West Coast Hip Hop / Gangsta Rap duo formed in 1992 in Long Beach, California, USA, featuring Daz Dillinger (Delmar Drew Arnaud) and Kurupt (Ricardo Emmanuel Brown). The song "At Night" (D.P.G. Recordz # 1001) referenced Vietnam to describe city and community violence: "time and time again it's on, Vietnam again, Napalm set-trip" - chemical weapon Napalm B - a jellied gasoline mixture, with polystyrene, benzene, and gasoline. Declared a war-crime since 1980, the US government extensively used this weapon during the Vietnam conflict, dropping 388,000 tons on Indochina between 1963 and 1973. (1) (2) (3)
