Annotation
The Mullens, a Garage Punk group from Dallas, Texas, USA. Its membership included: Matt Mayo (guitar, vocals), Tim Stile (vocals, harmonica), Rod Baird (drums), Lee Lazarine (guitar, backing vocals), Bill Whetsel (bass), and Dana Williams (bass). The song "Girl From Vietnam" (1+2 Records # 1+2 EP 107) was about a US soldier who had a relationship with a Vietnamese woman: "it was a romance in the sticks.. it was the summer of '66". It ended with the soldier being killed in action (K.I.A.): "he took a bullet, and she took a piece of his heart".
