Annotation
Punk Rock group from formed in 1979 in Dayton, Ohio, USA. Disbanded in 1995. Membership included Bruce Stuckey (guitar, vocals), Ed Pittman (lead vocals, 1979-83), Joel Agne (guitar, vocals, 1979-81), Mark Patterson (drums, 1979-81), J.J. Pearson [aka Jimmy Joe] (drums, vocals, 1980-95), and Rob Lucjak [aka Snott] (bass, guitar, vocals, 1980-85). The band also released the anti-Vietnam War song "War Hero", in 1980, discussed above: War Hero / Somebody Help Me. On this record was the song "White Noise" (Risky Records # RI 10004) which took an anti-war position, criticising western interverntion. The narrator said that the "Viet Nam era and Krushchev have died" (a reference to the USSR leader Nikita Khrushchev, 1953-64), yet the Cold War continued, "standing here at the Berlin Wall, the scent of war", and well as "El Salvador", a reference to the US involement in the Salvadoran Civil War by US President Carter & President Reagan.
