Annotation
Released in 1966 on Wyncote (# W 9139) by the Deputies, this obviously featured another cover of the popular Barry Sadler hit "The Ballad of the Green Berets". The back of the LP proudly stated that "in tribute to the fighting men in Viet Nam, Wyncote presents a rare collection of Country War Ballads....This sincere tribute done by the popular Deputies, will be a long remembered part of anyone's record collection". Well, not so rare. It also included Tom T. Hall's "Hello Viet Nam", and the well-known songs "What Are We Fighting For" and "When Johnny Comes Marching Home".
