The song "Welcome Home POW" (Glenn Records # 4036) performed by Eldon Fault, a Nashville based singer-songwriter, dealt with the P.O.W. issue. Members of Nashville West, a Californian country rock band (1967-68), backed Fault on this record. The personnel featured Gib Guilbeau (rhythm guitar, harmony vocals, producer), Gene Parsons (drums, harmony vocals) (member of the The Flying Burrito Bros and The Byrds), Wayne Moore (bass, harmony vocals), Clarence White (lead guitar, harmony vocals), and Darrell Cotton. (1) (2) (3) Glen MacArthur also produced (he founded the label, named after him). Recorded in Palmdale, California. Composed by George Woodward. Largely narrated from the perspective of a US soldier, "a prisoner so long in Vietnam", on his way home. Sitting on the train, he hoped that his former sweetheart Mary-Anne would be waiting for him at the station.
