About the artist
Ramses was a German progressive rock band from Hanover, formed 1972 as Ramses II and shortened on signing to Sky Records in 1975. "War" appears on the debut album "La Leyla" (1976) and is described by reviewers as an anti-Vietnam-war piece; it was reportedly considered too controversial for the US market, where an alternate-lyric version titled "Noise" replaced it over the identical backing.
