Annotation
Hardcore Punk group formed in August 1991, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. They disbanded in 2001. Core members included Dave Trenga (vocals), Ajax (guitar), Eric Good (guitar), Corey Lyons (bass), with several different drummers. The song "Vietnam Is Back '94" (Havoc Records # HC7003), like many post-war tracks, used Vietnam as a benchmark to evaluate contemporary conflicts: "fighting another war at our cost...Vietnam is back". The lyrics took an anti-war position: "don't support any fucking war". No specific war is mentioned, and there were of course dozens of ongoing conflicts around the world, although this could be in reference to the high-profile US bombing of Bosnia in 1994, said to be for the prevention of "ethnic cleansing" perpetrated by Serbs in the region. The US also sent troops to join a NATO peacekeeping force.
