Annotation
Formed in Action, West London, in 1977, this punk rock group featured Derek Gibbs (vocals), Robert Deacon (guitar), John Johnson (bass), Danny Heatley (drums). They lasted six years, releasing four 7" singles and one LP, which contained a lot of political material. (1) (2) This 1983 single included the song "Vietnam" (Brickyard Records # EOR 1) which began with rotating helicopter sound-effects, and then the lead vocalist repeated the line: "US army and the Vietcong, drop LSD, and drop napalm". The picture sleeve featured a photograph of helicopters flying, superimposed over a map of Vietnam.
