It is sung in the Bolero style - "type of Latin American Music ballad with a 2/4 time signature that appeared in eastern Cuba towards the end of the 19th century".

Unknown - the only Raffie Quinones entity on Discogs is "Raffie Quinones Y El Conjunto Almas Borincanas", a Puerto Rican orquesta/conjunto with an LP on Calex/Casa Calex (LP 104, Puerto Rico, no year listed). The tracklist could not be confirmed - the release endpoint rate-limited (HTTP 429) through three retries - so it is not yet established that "Un soldado en Vietnam" is on that LP, though no other candidate exists in the database.
