Annotation

The country song "The Story of Vietnam" (Twin Record Productions # NR2984) by Bob Glover looked at the P.O.W. issue. The narrator started by referring to the Paris peace agreement signed on 27 January 1973, when "the Vietnam War had ended and the prisoners were sent free", to the joy of the nation. Glover especially praised Richard Nixon for his role in "signing the peace" agreement. It did contain some patriotic elements: "they fought for their country and for what it stood". However, he highlighted the heavy cost to some of the soldiers returning: "they'll be wounded, they'll be crippled and some will be blind". Meanwhile, others did not return. Written by Bob Glover. Produced by Arthur Fort Sr and Bill Stith. Released on Twin Record Productions, in Atlanta, Georgia, a sub-label of GWS (based in Miami, Florida).
