Tiffany Bolling, from Santa Monica, California, is an American actress and singer, known for starring in several 70s cult B-movies, such as The Candy Snatchers. She released an album in 1970 called Tiffany. The easy listening lounge pop song "Thank God the War Is Over" (Canyon Records # 33) imagined the end of the Vietnam conflict. It emotionally recalled the many deaths of "our boys", the sacrifices made, and its impact on those left home, asking the question: "how many times will they take our men away saying peace must be secured". Therefore, this song took an anti-war perspective, and it contained a degree of skepticism regarding the government's justification for the war. Peter Tevis composed, arranged, conducted, and produced this single. The Dave Pell Singers also released a version of this song on the 1969 album Mah-Na-Mah-Na (Liberty Records # LST 7631). (1)
