About the artist
Esco Hankins (born 1 January 1924 in Union County, Tennessee; died 18 November 1990) was a country singer in the Roy Acuff mould who settled in Lexington, Kentucky in the early 1950s, where he and his wife and duet partner Jackie (Jackie Tincher, married 1954) ran a record shop and appeared on the Kentucky Barn Dance and later the WWVA Wheeling Jamboree.
