About the artist
Happy Louie and Julcia's Polka Band was led by Louis George 'Happy Louie' Dusseault (born 4 August 1934 in Ware, Massachusetts; died 26 November 2021), with his wife Julcia (Midura) Dusseault, whom he married in 1958. He played his first bugle note at nine, formed his own band at fifteen, graduated from the Berklee School of Music in 1957 and served in the US Army; the couple founded HA-LO Records in 1968 and released more than thirty-five albums. He was inducted into the IPA Polka Hall of Fame in 1982, was nominated for a Grammy in 1995 and received a USPA Lifetime Achievement Award in 2012.…
