Dewey Elton 'Shorty' Thornton (born 1 November 1927, Crossroads, Texas; died 13 January 2006, Midland, Texas) was a Texas petroleum geologist who recorded three country 45s for his own Dewco label in 1966, of which 'Seeing Is Believing' was one.
