About the artist
The Family Of Apostolic was the Greenwich Village studio collective assembled by producer-engineer John Townley around his Apostolic Studios (53 East 10th Street, opened 1967) - a roughly nineteen-member "family" of musicians, ex-spouses and friends, including Gilma Townley and the violinist Jay Ungar - which cut the double LP "The Family Of Apostolic" (Vanguard Apostolic SDVL 1, 1968).
