As discussed above, Arnaldo Ramirez founded several Mexican-American record labels in Texas: ARV, Falcon, Bronco, and Bego. He featured in Billboard on 25 November 1972, in an article focusing on the explosion of Tex-Mex music. (2) Born on 9 April 1918, in Mission, Texas, USA, he died there on 11 May 1993. The track "Por que estamos en Vietnam" (Falcon # 1724) ("Why We Are in Vietnam") is spoken-word, and featured on the compilation Porque estamos en Vietnam (Bronco # BRLP-043) below, released on one of his record labels.
